ISSUE 25.1 : POP_ARCH | Tehran; Four Hours and Four Minutes
The “Tehran; Four Hours and Four Minutes” Project is an educational studio project that took place in 1400 (2021-2022) at the Tehran Urban Innovation Center (TUIC).
[Pop art derives from subjects of everyday life (specifically, advertisements and everyday objects)]
By becoming everyday, which is to fight against separatism from everyday subjects and live in the present time and place, pop icons can be sought. Just as receiving and understanding pop icons are not only exclusive to the sense of sight but are involved with other senses, without a doubt its representation can also be based on all the senses. This exercise/project intends to represent Tehran’s pop sounds. The sounds that make Tehran Unique and differentiate it from a city like Yazd or Rasht.
