Houria Seylsepour holds a master's degree in interior design from the Islamic Azad University. She has worked in architecture offices from 2015 to 2018 and her professional experiences include an urban recreation project (Tarh-e-Omid) with an emphasis on increasing social interaction.
He research interest is mainly associated with designing child-friendly spaces, which also lead her to propose principals on participatory design of educational spaces of children in her master’s thesis.
As a researcher at TUIC, Houria focuses on the possibilities of bringing back the children's missing role in urban spaces. To this end, she suggests that activating public spaces by children could provide opportunities for them to play, experience and learn in city, while increasing liability of the city. The outcome of her research is published as an issue of TUIC101 series.
